Not Be Controlled By My Thoughts
OK, some studies have shown that we have ~6,200 thoughts per day. What is the pattern of these thoughts? Majority (80%) of these thoughts appear to have a fear/negative expression to them, and I would imagine this election week bank of thoughts could be a higher percentage? We come from the cave people who did fear/negative pretty well which allows us anxious types to be here today; it was useful in the past. Today, it causes a lot of suffering.
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to not be controlled by my thoughts….if only for a moment.
