Give Grace to Myself

Pema Chödrön is pointing out that much of our suffering comes from our own minds….our thoughts, judgments and resistance to what is. While life certainly brings challenges, we often make things harder by how we react. We dwell on the past, worry about the future and create unnecessary stress through self-criticism or unrealistic expectations. This seems similar to the Story of the Two Arrows.
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to give grace to myself….if only for a moment.
