Decrease The Amount Of Time I Am In The Future
“As much as possible, try not to project into the future. Fear is always about the future. That’s why staying in the present is a refuge. By staying in the present, you can respond wisely to the reality that is here right now. You are less likely to be lost in the fearful stories your mind is creating about the future. And when that future comes, you will be more likely to deal with that moment instead of fearing the future that lies ahead.”
Keeping the Heart Open in Uncertain Times
Lots to remember in Keeping the Heart Open….worth a read. The themes of empathy, allowing, self-compassion and mindfulness are within this writing and within ourselves. I know I have a loving heart until I don’t, and I continue to practice “catching” myself when I am in a FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) mindset. Life gives me ample opportunities to practice….what else to I really have to do?
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to decrease the amount of time I am in the future….if only for a moment.
