If you are carrying something heavy, you do not have to face it alone.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of how to keep going. You might be grieving. You may simply feel tired from trying to hold everything together. Or you may be trying to make sense of everything you have been carrying. If this is your experience, I am here to offer a steady and compassionate place to breathe.
Who I Help
I support people who are moving through hard moments and trying to make sense of their emotions and experiences. Many of my clients come in feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure of who they are anymore. Some are grieving or caring for someone with a serious illness. Others are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, or relational struggles. What matters most is how these challenges show up in your everyday life. My hope is to create a safe and steady space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel understood.
I also have extensive experience supporting people who have been hurt or harmed by the church or by religious or spiritual systems. You may be carrying pain from spiritual abuse, misuse of authority, shame based teaching, or feeling silenced or dismissed in faith spaces. You might be deconstructing your faith, reconstructing it, or simply trying to figure out what you believe now. You may still value spirituality, or you may not identify as religious at all. Therapy with me is not about pushing beliefs or answers. It is a space that honors your autonomy, your story, and your pace.
How I Work
My style is warm and conversational. I will not overwhelm you with clinical language or spiritual expectations. Together, we will explore your emotions and the deeper stories that have shaped you, including family, culture, relationships, and spiritual experiences. We will focus on what helps you feel grounded, whole, and more connected to yourself.
As we work together, you may learn how to
- understand and calm your anxiety
- navigate grief with compassion for yourself
- improve your relationships
- build confidence and a stronger sense of identity
- create healthier boundaries
Therapy can be a place where you let go of pressure and finally exhale.
A Little About Me
Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly twenty years in ministry serving as a pastor in a multicultural community. During that time, I supported individuals and families through grief, trauma, faith transitions, and major life changes. This experience deeply shapes my approach to counseling. I understand religious and church culture from the inside, including both the comfort it can offer and the harm it can cause. I bring compassion, cultural humility, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience into the therapy room. My hope is that my clients feel safe, calm, and seen in our work together.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and practice under supervision as I complete the final steps toward full licensure.
Support for Cancer Related Stress
I have a special interest in supporting clients who are facing cancer or caring for someone who is. This journey often includes fear, exhaustion, hope, and grief all at the same time. You deserve a place where you can talk openly about these emotions without feeling like a burden. I will walk with you through all parts of this experience with steadiness and care.
What You Can Expect From Therapy
Over time, you may feel more grounded and more capable of handling difficult moments. You may notice greater clarity, stronger boundaries, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself and to others. Many clients describe feeling lighter and more hopeful as they gain confidence and self understanding.
