Allow My Fears And Anxieties To Soften, If Only For A Moment

Meditation is like a laboratory where we can do all different kinds of experimenting, but in a safe container.  And then, when we go out into the world, in relationship with other people, hopefully we know a bit more about how we are and how we show up.

Making Friends with Anxiety, Leslie Booke

The article “Making Friends with Anxiety” and the podcast Dr. Aliz Crum: Science of Mindsets explore how our relationship and mindset toward anxiety and stress can shape our experience. Anxiety is a natural part of life, and at times, it can even be supportive. The article invites us into formal practice, reminding us that much of our relationship with anxiety depends on awareness.

A 10-second practice:  Notice the sensations in your body. Where does stress or anxiety show up?  Which parts? Allow an exhale and soften those parts that can be softened.

I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to allow my fears and anxieties to soften, if only for a moment.
