Let Go, Again and Again
In mindfulness, we come to see that much of our mental activity, especially “worried mind”, is a habit and not useful. Worrying often feels like movement, effort, engagement, even control and it’s circular and exhausting. We go over the same thoughts, fears and imagined scenarios without resolution = rumination. Yes, a normal part of being human.
Mindfulness practice invites us to step out of the rocking chair. We notice it via thoughts/body, name it "worried mind" and chooses where one wants to place their attention, breath or the body. We're not trying to “should” ourselves out of worry, and we’re trying not to feed it either.
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to let go, again and again....if only for a moment.
