Anne Williamson, Counseling Intern
317-252-5518 extension 5
Anne Williamson is a Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Northwestern University and is completing her clinical placement at CenterPoint Counseling under the supervision of Scott Sweet, LCSW, LCAC. She also holds a master's degree in divinity, bringing a thoughtful awareness of spirituality, meaning, and faith experience into her counseling work.
Anne believes that each person carries wisdom within themselves. She often says, "You are your own best therapist," meaning that healing is not simply something given by another person, but something discovered, strengthened, and listened for within the client. In counseling, Anne seeks to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and guided as they learn to recognize their own voice, wisdom, and capacity for growth.
At CenterPoint, Anne works with adults and groups, both in person and online in Indiana. She helps clients clarify their goals and uses appropriate diagnosis, assessment, and evidence-based interventions to support meaningful change. Anne understands that some struggles can be reduced or resolved, while others may need to be integrated into one's life in a way that allows for greater freedom and wholeness.
Anne's areas of interest include depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, codependency, stress, parenting, women's issues, and spirituality, including religious or faith injury and grief. She is especially interested in the intersection of spirituality and psychological well-being, as well as cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, including Internal Family Systems and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Anne's current rate as a counseling intern is $100 per hour.
