Be Present With Something Greater Than Myself
"The first Bible is the Bible of nature."
-Richard Rohr
My wife and I are in Colorado doing some hiking and above is a snapshot of one of our mornings, glorious! When I am with such events, it reminds me of Rohr’s take that before there were written words, doctrines, or places of worship, there was nature. The sky, the earth, the trees, the water and the changing seasons. Rohr reminds us that nature is one of the first places where we learn to notice the presence, beauty, and mystery of God.I find mindfulness supports my intention to be present with something greater than myself….if only for a moment.
