Know What’s Happening in any Given Moment Without Getting Carried off into Reactivity
Today, I gave a presentation focused on Awareness, Repair, and Living Fully into the Light. One of the ideas was that much of our life is lived on autopilot. We react from old patterns, inherited beliefs, family wounds, shame, and protective habits we may not even recognize. Mindfulness invites us to pause and notice:
What story am I telling myself?
What feeling is here?
Where do I feel this in my body?
What belief am I carrying?
With this data, we have may come upon new found choices. Repair happens when we stop pretending or hiding from the pain. Living fully is the daily practice of returning to the light through body-based care, connection, silence, expression, nature and remembering we are enough.
I find mindfulness supports my intention to know what’s happening in any given moment without getting carried off into reactivity….if only for a moment.
