Learn From Activation
Mid-week, I had an unpleasant moment and a few minutes later began practicing mindfulness meditation. There was an awareness that I was still pretty attached to this earlier event. The mind was churning out stories and was doing its best to problem solve.
A version of the above quote greeted me in making this unpleasantness the object of my awareness, so I did. Like breathing, I had some narrow and wide views of this event. In moments, I was able to observe/describe the four foundations of mindfulness, and it created space. Other moments, I was narrowly in the trenches of trying to get rid of my troubles.
I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to learn from activation....if only for a moment.
