Notice The "I"
"Stillness is not a sleepy stillness. It's an alert stillness."Eckhart Tolle, 8:06
Many parts of the lecture resonated with me and the above quote. How do I get the I out of any given moment? Or, how do I notice the I? That was my overall takeaway.
So, stillness does not mean nothing is happening. It means I am learning to notice what is happening without immediately reacting, fixing, judging, or explaining. This feels like a move towards less “I want what I want when I want it” living.
I find mindfulness supports my intention to notice the “I" ….if only for a moment.
