Soften
"I no longer need the armor; my softness is the strongest part of me."
— Brianna Wiest
For me, my armor is staying busy and feeling I must keep everything under control. Mindfulness invites me to notice that effort and explore where I might soften.
Softness can mean relaxing shoulders, allowing a feeling without fixing it, or meeting myself with less criticism. I can be gentle and strong. I can soften and have boundaries.
I find mindfulness supports my intention to soften….if only for a moment.
