Transform Versus Transmit My Suffering
“There is a suffering, the carrying that you must do, and you have to get in line with that, because if you don’t, your pain will have other plans for you.”
John W Price w/ Rich Roll, “The Crisis NO ONE is Talking About”, podcast.
Excellent discussion on a number of topics, particularly men’s issues in the later half. In the beginning, discussions that peace comes not from avoiding pain (increases our suffering) but from aligning ourselves with life as it is...
Each of us carries parts that we’d rather not…shame being the primary. Mindfulness invites us to meet that part and to “get in line with it” rather than resist it. In that “being with", we often discover something healing, pain transforms from an enemy into a teacher.I find mindfulness meditation supports my intention to transform versus transmit my suffering….if only for a moment.
